Dark Knight
So I am not quite sure where even to begin. The weekend past by so quickly but I am not sure what in the world I was doing! All I want to do is go to sleep and do nothing because I feel extremely tired but I can’t,………I can’t until after next Tuesday unfortunately. Now I am glad I had a couple of days in between before I start my new job which will be nice. Although I have signed up for maybe too many volunteer activities for my own good. Sometimes I think I just need to say no!
I was working again this weekend even though it’s not really work. I chaperoned a group of people to see the Dark Knight on Imax and then to a club downtown. Dark Knight was a really REALLY good movie. It was over two hours but it seemed to pass by really quickly and it was very exciting all throughout! I really liked Christian Bale also. He is very hot! Why can’t I find a man like that in this town????
So when the movie was over there was actually a group of people who did want to go out and I had to walk with them to the club. Part of me was like REALLY??? I had technically wanted to go over to my friend’s apartment since she was having a surprise birthday party for her boyfriend. Let’s just say I never really quite made it over there. Oh well. I had to play teacher and lead a group of 8 people to a club that was packed!
So apparently a lot of guys go to the movies by themselves. There was this guy who basically seemed to jump my bones right after the movie. He was all talkative and chatty and it being a part of my job I was talking to him. He was or seemed fine at least but asked me sort of weird questions like so what type of person are you– do you like things structured like batman or slightly chaotic like the Joker? Mind you Heath Ledger played an AMAZING Joker. He was really good and really REALLY creepy. I was like a little girl throwing my hands over my eyes every five seconds it seemed. Seriously??? This is the question you want to ask me??? When we were going into the club he made some mention of having a knife on him which was kind of sketchy. What kind of knife are you carrying and why are you carrying one? I proceeded to lose him shortly after we got into a place and then there was some other guy who seemed like he wanted to talk to me. He ended up standing next to me at the bar–coincidence right? Of course not! So I started talking to him. Three Jack and diet cokes later we went to Fado’s where one of my guy friends works–or at least I think he is my guy friend. And the night ended with me giving this guy my card. The chances of him calling me? Hmmm,…not very likely since my friend and I kept going off on how we don’t bother being friends with people we’ve gone out with. He seemed like a nice enough guy but I find so many of these guys I meet in this city boring. He was only okay to talk to probably because I had three drinks! Not that big of a fan of the club scene and I don’t like guys who try too hard and who need me to rub their egos. I am not really good at that.
So the most exciting part of that night was actually the movie which I could watch again. I do really like Christian Bale. or Bruce Wayne. Too bad he doesn’t have a twin in this city! He may be emotionally unavailable but at least he is interesting and probably could have some really good stories to tell!
